New Generation Community Art Center (NGCAC), founded in 2006 and officially launched in 2016 by Cassandra L. Crosby, is a creative Christian-based community arts organization now proudly relocated to Atlanta. NGCAC was established to provide youth and families with free opportunities to explore visual and performing arts, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and experience positive mentorship in a safe and uplifting environment. Through creativity, faith, education, and community engagement, NGCAC continues to inspire and empower the next generation through the arts.

Through visual and performing arts, New Generation Community Art Center is dedicated to empowering youth by teaching, supporting, mentoring, and encouraging them to develop quality artistic and creative expression while inspiring hope and purpose for today’s future generation. NGCAC provides a safe and uplifting environment where young people can discover their talents, build confidence, and use the arts as a positive outlet for self-expression, healing, leadership, and personal growth. Through a variety of creative arts programs and services, we strive to bring new life, inspiration, and opportunity to every young person we serve.

To become a leading community arts organization that transforms lives through creativity, inspires future generations of artists and leaders, and strengthens communities through education, culture, and the arts.

Skits and drama provide students with an exciting opportunity to explore creativity, build confidence, and discover new talents. I have a passion for teaching drama and watching students grow through the performing arts. Seeing their smiles, imagination, and confidence shine on stage is truly rewarding. Through drama instruction, students learn valuable performance skills such as stage direction, voice projection, facial expressions, body movement, use of space, clean transitions, teamwork, and how to deliver strong and impactful performances from beginning to end.
Growing up, I always loved to dance. As I got older, I began taking dance classes, and that passion eventually inspired me to teach young girls and boys the art of dance and creative expression. Watching that dream come to life has been truly rewarding. One unforgettable experience was seeing these amazing young girls perform at the Girls Rock event in Milwaukee. I was incredibly proud of their dedication, growth, and determination. Day after day, they worked hard together to learn new dance routines, encourage one another, and push through challenges during rehearsals. Although obstacles arose along the way, we overcame them through teamwork, perseverance, and unity. This experience reminded me of the true power of togetherness, support, and believing in one another.
Poetry, also known as verse, is a powerful form of self-expression that allows individuals to share their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and voices with others in a meaningful and creative way. Through spoken word and poetry, students are encouraged to speak confidently, think deeply, and communicate messages that inspire, uplift, and create awareness. These talented young ladies had the opportunity to perform at a high school poetry slam, where they used their voices to captivate the audience and express their creativity with passion and confidence. Their performances were powerful, inspiring, and a true reflection of the strength that comes from speaking boldly and authentically.
Year of the Arts is a Milwaukee Public School and Cre8MKE collaborative campaign to raise awareness of, reflect upon, draw connections to, and build support for arts education assets and resources in MPS. This event took place on the Summer Fest grounds.
